Billie J. and Helen L. Cowan of Parkersburg celebrated their 60th anniversary on Sept. 10.
They were married Sept. 8, 1951, in the home of the bridegroom with the Pastor Irene Lovett of the Broadway Baptist Church officiating.
Mrs. Cowan is the daughter of the late William Caveney and Alma (the late Fred) Cowan.

Mr. Cowan is the son of the late Arthur and Marguerite Cowan.
Mr. Cowan is retired from DuPont after working 30 years.
Mrs. Cowan worked as a cook for the Wood County Schools and is retired.
They are the parents of Debbie (Mike) Hill, Billie J. (June) Cowan II, Christi (Bill) Shedd, DeDe Wimer (Dave) Ruble, and the late Mickie Cowan.
They have seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
