Michelle Lynn Thompson and Steven Daniel Bieniek were united in marriage on June 11 at St. Michael Parish in Wheeling with the Rev. Christopher Turner officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of the late Scott and Susan Thompson of Wheeling.

The groom is the son of Daniel and Georgeann Bieniek of Williamstown.

Holly Cordray, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Dennis Paul, friend of the groom, served as best man.

Other attendants were Lisa Parr, sister of the bride; Lori Parr, sister of the bride; Danielle Bieniek, sister of the groom; Taryn Thompson, niece of the bride; Kate Hall, cousin of the groom; William Tuttle, friend of the groom; Stephen Spiegel, friend of the groom; James Hall, cousin of the groom; Brent Parr, brother-in-law of the bride; Justin Parr, brother-in-law of the bride; Slaton Parr, nephew of the bride; and Tristan Parr, nephew of the bride.

A reception was held at the White Palace at Wheeling Park.

The bride is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and Wheeling Jesuit University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish and a teaching license for grades 5-12. She is employed by Marshall County Schools as a high school Spanish teacher.

The groom is a graduate of Williamstown High School and Marietta College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in public accounting. He is employed as the treasurer/chief school business official of Ohio County Schools and is pursuing his CPA certification.

After a honeymoon in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Wheeling.
