Timothy and Joyce Hendricks Armentrout of Summersville announce the engagement of their daughter, Katelyn Marie, to Jon C. Walkup.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of John and Donna Hendricks of Ellenboro and the late Betty Stones Hendricks of Vienna and William S. and the late Frances M. Armentrout of Elkins. She is a 2006 graduate of Nicholas County High School in Summersville and a 2011 graduate of West Virginia University with a master's degree in elementary education with specialization in fifth- through ninth-grade English.
The prosepective bridegroom is the son of Craig and Kimberly Williams Walkup of Westfield Center, Ohio.

He is the grandson of Dan and Beverly Walkup of Parkersburg and Ken and Carol Williams of Belpre. He is a 2007 graduate of Cloverleaf High School in Westfield Center, Ohio, and a 2011 graduate of WVU with a bachelor's degree in sports psychology.
A wedding is planned for July 23 at Chestnut Ridge Church in Morgantown with a reception to follow at Lakeview Resort.
