The bride-to-be is the daughter of Steven and Penny Kidd of Ocala, Fla. She is a 2001 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2005 graduate of Marshall University. She also earned a master's degree in geology from the University of Kentucky. She is employed as a geologist at BHP Billiton in Houston, Texas.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of David and Branka Wonkovich of Independence, Ohio. He is a 2000 graduate of Independence High School and completed a master's degree in geology at Bowling Green State University. He is employed as a geologist at Savannah Oil and Gas in Houston.
