Teresa Marie Wells and Daniel Owen Purdy, both of Marietta, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Truman Wells and Wanda Jett. She attended Williamstown High School and is a childcare provider for her grandchildren.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of the late Raymond and Margaret Purdy. He attended Bath High School in Lima, Ohio, and is employed by Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 168 in Marietta.

A wedding is planned for July 9 at the Valley View Baptist Church in Reno, Ohio. A private friends and family reception will follow.
