Donald and Ann (Ellis) Nicholson will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary on June 10.
They were married at the Gilman United Methodist Church in Marietta. He is the son of the late Brooks and Evelyn Nicholson, and she is the daughter of the late Dean and Zoe Ellis.
He is retired from Chevron Oil, and she provided in-home child care. They have been active in Boy and Girl Scouts, Devola Fire Department, band, high school sports and numerous community organizations.

The couple has three children, Rick (Michele) Nicholson, Denise Cavitt of Marietta and Annette (Bill) English of Oregon, Ohio.
They have six grandchildren, Chris Nicholson of Athens, Matt (Erica) Nicholson of Columbus, Dan Nicholson and Sadie Cavitt of Marietta, and Sarah and Andrew English of Oregon, Ohio. They have one great-grandchild, Alexis Nicholson of Columbus.
