Virgil and Mary Lou (Richards) Flinn celebrated their 60th anniversary on May 10 with a private celebration given by their children.
They were united in marriage at the First Baptist Church in Parkersburg.
She is the daugher of the late Absalom and Ethel Dawson Richards. She is retired from St. Joseph's Hospital.
He is the son of the late Carl and Iva Gilbert Flinn. He served in the U.S. Navy, retired from Piedmont Airlines and U.S. Airways and is former fire chief of the Lubeck Fire Department.
They have five children, Vicky (Danny Thomas, Jenny (Brady) Stephens, Steve (Shari) Flinn, Joe (Angie) Flinn and Tim (Amy Flinn.) They have 11 grandchildren, Stephanie Thomas Asbury, Jason Thomas, Ambrosia Flinn, Alisha Flinn, Jadiah Flinn, Parker Stephens, Brooke Flinn Keener, Breanna Flinn, Benjamin Brown, Evan Flinn and Landon Flinn. They have four great-grandchildren.
