VIENNA - A Vienna man was killed and two others sent to the hospital Monday afternoon after a two-car accident on Grand Central Avenue, police said.
William T. Minear, 74, was pronounced dead Monday evening at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus, said Patrolman Carl Powell with the Vienna Police Department.
The Wood County Crash Investigation Team responded to the accident around 1 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Grand Central in front of Ruby Tuesday.

Minear was driving north on Grand Central Avenue when his Ford Tempo veered into the southbound lane, striking a southbound 2001 Ford Taurus head-on, said Powell.
The Taurus rolled into the parking lot of Ruby Tuesday restaurant, striking a third parked vehicle.
The driver of the Taurus, 78-year-old Rosella Hopkins, of Belpre, and her passenger Chloie Batton, 88, also of Belpre, were sent to Camden Clark Medical Center. Hospital officials at the Memorial Campus said the women were being treated in the emergency room Monday night.

One person died and two people were injured in a two-car accident Monday afternoon on Grand Central Avenue in Vienna.
All southbound lanes of Grand Central Avenue were closed for more than an hour Monday afternoon. Southbound traffic was diverted into one northbound lane, said Powell.
