Mike and Joyce Lorentz of Belpre will celebrate their 40th anniversary today with a family dinner.
They were married April 17, 1971, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells by Rev. Richard Longbon.
Mrs. Lorentz is the daughter of Wanda Bird of Parkersburg and the late Homer Bird. She is retired from the Bureau of Public Debt.

Mr. Lorentz is the son of Donald and Helen Lorentz of Belpre. He is retired from Kraton Polymers and is the mayor of Belpre.
They are the parents of two children, Christina (Ben) Cross of Barlow and Michael (Misty) Lorentz of Belpre. They have three grandchildren, Taylor and Isaac Cross and Ethan Lorentz.
