Amanda Dawn Smith and Christopher Michael Pedigo were united in marriage Oct. 9, 2010, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Parkersburg. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Rev. Yesu Golla and assisted by Deacon Doug Deem.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Mona Smith of Vienna. She is the granddaughter of Rose Smith and the late Harold Smith and the late Robert and Louise Rader. The groom is the son of Mike and Sue Marsh of Virginia Beach, Va., and Tom Pedigo and Susan Wall of Hilton Head, S.C.
He is the grandson of Johnnie Pedigo and the late Harrell Pedigo and Alyce Sassone and the late Charles Sassone.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a gown of white silky taffeta, a modified sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice and an asymmetric drop waist. The heavily beaded inset at neckline was made up of beads and crystals. Folds of taffeta wrap on the front skirt covered a layer of French net edged in metallic embroidery motifs, beads and crystals.
The back was an open lace-up back falling to a chapel train. Her headpiece was made of crystals and beads, holding a fingertip veil of illusion edged in crystals. She carried a clutch hand bouquet of white roses, white bouvardia, white freesia and seed eucalyptus. The natural stems were tired with a white satin wrap.
The matron of honor was Nicole Slattery of Westford, Mass., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Jessica Beaumier of Marietta, Chelsie Pratt of Pittsburgh, Pa., Lindsey Meyer of York, Pa., Caitlin Dix of Stow, Ohio, Meghan Martin of Annapolis, Md., Jessie Burns of Martinsburg and Rae Silkey of Chesapeake, Va. The attendants wore strapless gowns made of satin and were eggplant in color. Each carried a clutch hand bouquet of antique green hydrangeas with pink highlights, lavender sterling star roses, magenta wax flowers, white and purple Mayfair alstroemeria and seed eucalyptus. The natural stems were tied with satin ribbon to match the dresses.
The best man was Graham Hall of Virginia Beach, a friend of the groom. Groomsmen were friends of the groom, Danny Sumerlin, Charles Banwarth, Conor McInturf, Jimmy Walters, Colin Shields, Henry Birkhead, all of Virginia Beach, and Taylor Adkins of Columbia, Md.
Readers were Nicole Slattery, sister of the bride, and Steve Smith, uncle of the bride. Gift bearers were Jim and Marta Higgs, uncle and aunt and godparents of the bride. Registering guests were Brittany and Holly Smith, cousins of the bride. The cantor was Jennifer Simmons, the organist was John Ontko and music was provided by David and Cynthia Puls.
The bride and groom were escorted by Norman Smith to the Blennerhassett Hotel for dinner and a dance reception in a 1929 Model A Ford.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Parkersburg High School, a 2005 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and a 2010 graduate of Sentara College of Health Sciences. She is employed by Camden Clark Medical Center as a registered nurse.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Frank W. Cox High School and a 2005 graduate of Old Dominion University. He is employed by Morgan Stanley-Smith Barney as a financial adviser.
Following their honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple reside in Vienna.
