Melissa Danielle Greathouse and Charles Bernard "Brew" Dean II were united in marriage on June 26, 2010, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Parkersburg. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Roger Vernick.
The bride is the daughter of David and Laura Greathouse of Lubeck. She is the granddaughter of Tom and Lucille McCauley of Parkersburg and the late Frank and Joan Greathouse. She is a 2004 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University at Parkersburg with a bachelor's degree in education. She is a substitute teacher for Wood County Schools.
The groom is the son of Randy and Jerry Dean of Slate. He is the grandson of Benita Dean of Mineral Wells, the late Charles B. Dean I and the late Margaret Reed. He is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a part-time student at WVU-P. He is a service representative for Lincare.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and was escorted by her father. She wore a white, full length satin A-line gown with sheer beaded cap sleeves, chiffon split front overlay, metallic embroidery and a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of white and yellow day lilies and roses that was wrapped in light blue ribbon.
The maid of honor was Nicole Keller, friend of the bride, of Lubeck. Bridesmaids were Stefani Smit, cousin of the bride, of Perl, Germany; Miranda Lewis, sister of the groom, of Ravenswood; and Amanda Waugaman, friend of the bride, of Parkersburg. The bridesmaids wore full length halter gowns in pale blue and carried bouquets of white and yellow lilies and roses.
The flower girl was Miryan Lewis, niece of the groom, of Ravenswood. She wore a white dress with yellow sash, a flowered headband and carried a white basket of pale blue rose petals.
The groom wore a black tux with white tie and vest. Serving as best man was friend of the groom Chris Rhodes, of Vienna; Bastiaan Smit, cousin of the bride, of Perl, Germany; Matthew Greathouse, brother of the bride, of Lubeck; and Derek Moore, friend of the groom, of Slate. The groomsmen wore black tuxes with pale blue vests and ties.
Serving as ushers were Mason Greathouse, brother of the bride, of Lubeck, and Justin Greathouse, friend of the groom, of Mineral Wells. Whitney Gill, friend of the bride, registered guests. The brother of the bride also sang "O Perfect Love," accompanied by Abby Goosman, friend of the bride, on guitar.
A reception followed the ceremony at the church fellowship hall. The two-tier wedding cake was decorated with white icing and yellow lilies and roses. A cross with two interlocking wedding rings served as the cake topper.
Following a honeymoon in Seneca Rocks, the couple resides in Parkersburg.
