Dr. Miranda Leigh Dunn and Dr. Kane Alexander Maiers were united in marriage on June 12, 2010, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Parkersburg with The Rev. Eric Hall officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Kay Dunn of Mineral Wells. She is the granddaughter of the late Wade Dunn and Eileen Dunn of Parkersburg and the late Mervin and Edna Chaney of Mill Creek, W.Va. She is a 2000 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a graduate of Virginia Tech and West Virgina University School of Dentistry. She is an associate dentist with Dr. Diane Romaine and Associates in Frostburg, Md., and with Wayne P. Dunn and Associates in Parkersburg.

The bridegroom is the son of Jeff and Rhonda Maiers of Keyser. He is the grandson of Howard and Katherine Maiers of Ridgeley, W.Va., and Ronald and Ruth Burgess of Wiley Ford, W.Va. He is a 2000 graduate of Frankfort High School and a graduate of West Virginia University and West Virginia University School of Medicine. He is pursuing post-doctoral studies at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. The bride was given in marriage by her family and escorted by her father. She wore an ivory satin gown and fingertip veil with matching trim. Her bouquet was a cluster of Picasso Calla lilies.

Dr. Crystal Brown of Atlanta, Ga., longtime friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Dr. Azedah Afshari of Houston, Texas; Sararose Smith Lynch of Ridgeley, W.Va.; Heather Will Scott of Davisville and sisters of the bride Kimberly Simpson of Duncan, S.C., and Ashley Dunn of Knoxville, Tenn. All were attired in floor-length aubergine satin gowns.

Serving the groom as best men were Aaron Stonebraker of Morgantown, cousin of the groom and friend Derek Bosley of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Groomsmen were Derek Folmer of Saxonburg, Penn., Andrew Kesner of Ft. Ashby, W.Va., Justin Llewellyn of Morgantown, W.Va., Robert Wagoner of Charlestown, W.Va. and Clayton Williams of Covington, Va., all friends of the groom. Ringbearer was Nate Argo of Charlotte, N.C., cousin of the bride. Flower girls were Ada McFarland and Avery Miller, both of Cumberland, Md., cousins of the groom.

Soloist was Daniel Wilson and organist was Nathan Lowe. Amy Wilson served as guest book attendant.

The reception was held at the Blennerhassett Hotel with the bride and groom arriving in a horse-drawn carriage.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple resides in Keyser, W.Va.
