Boys

Ravenswood 66, Ritchie County 48

RAVENSWOOD -Ravenswood ran its record to 14-1 here Monday night, downing Little Kanawha Conference foe Ritchie County, 66-48.

The Red Devils, ranked No. 3 in Class AA, got 21 points from Luke Murray, 20 from Ryan Benson and 10 from Mark Davis.

Ritchie County (1-15) was led by Corey Robertson and Cody Masters with 11 points each.

Ravenswood travels to St. Marys on Wednesday.

Wood County Christian 59, Grace Christian 31

HUNTINGTON -Wood County Christian overcame a sluggish first half here Monday night and rolled to its 16th win, a 59-31 triumph over Grace Christian.

The Wildcats led just 21-20 at halftime, but managed to outscore their foe 38-11 over the final 16 minutes.

Jacob Ungar led Wood County (16-4) with 17 points while Cody Gutberlet added 11.

Grace Christian (9-4) got 9 points from Joey Wray.

Wood County will entertain Roane County on Thursday.

Madonna 55, St. Marys 52

WEIRTON -Madonna rallied in the second half here Monday to down visiting St. Marys, 55-52.

The Blue Devils (10-4) led 32-24 at halftime. Dylan Brizendine led St. Marys with 11 points while Brent Wright had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Madonna (7-9) got 16 points from Clay Rokisky and 14 from Connor Arlia.

St. Marys entertains Ravenswood on Wednesday.

Calhoun County 76, Roane County 50

SPENCER -Calhoun County placed five players in double figures here Monday night in a 76-50 Little Kanawha Conference win over Roane County.

Chucky Kendall led the way for the Red Devils with 18 points while Justin Gerwig added 14, Anthony Richards and Bronson Clark 11 each and Kyle Keesler 10. Roane got 18 points from Shane Stracher and 11 from Colter Taylor.

Ripley 60, Hurricane 57

HURRICANE -Chase Fischer erupted for 26 points to lead Ripley past Hurricane 60-57 on Monday night.

Ripley (13-5), broke a 38-38 tie by outscoring Hurricane 22-19 in the fourth quarter. Derek Mullins and Cdy Miller each added 12 points for the Vikings.

Girls

Gilmer County 45, Calhoun County 44

GRANTSVILLE -Jessica Montgomery made a pair of free throws with two-tenths of a second left here Monday night to lead Gilmer County to a 45-44 Little Kanawha Conference win over Calhoun County.

Megan Normant led Gilmer with 10 points while Savannah Church had 22 and Amber Wilford 13 for Calhoun County.

Wahama 67, Cross Lanes Christian 50

MASON -Wahama outscored visiting Cross Lanes Christian in every quarter here Monday as the White Falcons (12-8) rolled to a 67-50 win behind 31 points from Taylor Hysell.

Alex Wood and Karista Ferguson added 12 points each and Kelsey Zuspan 10 for Wahama, which entertains St. Marys next Monday.

Wood County Christian 49, Grace Christian 25

HUNTINGTON -Kara Smith scored 21 points, Anna Spivy added 13 and Tiffany Cowdery 11 as Wood County Christian (15-4) rolled to a 49-25 win over Grace Christian.

Bethany Elliott led Grace Christian (5-9) with 12 points.

Braxton County 56, Wirt County 47

ELIZABETH - Kelley Bunner and Natalie McVey each scored 10 points in a losing effort as Wirt County lost at home to Braxton County, 56-47, on Monday night.

Wirt County, which was outscored 29-20 in the second half, drops to 6-12.
