Betsy L. (Benedum) Gibson, 65, of Parkersburg, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at her home on Jan. 15, 2010.
She was born Jan. 21, 1944, the daughter of the late Gale and Margaret (Peg) Benedum of Parkersburg. Betsy worked for Cox's Department Store, Parkersburg Community College and WVU-Parkersburg. Betsy enjoyed her children and grandchildren most in life.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Lisa) Gibson Jr., Kim Gibson Fluharty (Chad), and Lisa Gibson; grandchildren, Tyler and Brooke Gibson, Katie, Kristopher, Kasey Fluharty and Morgan McFee, and Jacob and Breanna Tipple; her brother-in-law, Dave Warfield, his children, Chris, Terry, Greg and Connie and her great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Warfield.
Her children would like to send a special thanks to those at Housecalls Hospice for their care and support of our mother during these last months.
