Stephen Allen Bowles, 53, of Vienna, passed away on May 31, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was born July 22, 1955, to Jerry and Barbara Bowles of Vienna. He graduated from Marshall University in 1984, was the president of the local chapter of Marshall University Alumni Association, a member of the 14th Avenue Gospel Mission Church, and he loved gospel music.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister, Debra (Randy) Kinsolving of Vienna; brother, David (Melanie) Bowles of Parkersburg; sister, Diana (Randy) Riffle of Parkersburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Stephen was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon K. Bowles; grandparents, Brooke and Beulah Bowles of Parkersburg; and several aunts and uncles.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Tim Burch officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
