Party switching is nothing new. It's been going on for decades and includes notables such as Teddy Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, Hillary Clinton and Jay Rockefeller.

To make out like Jenkins is some sort of traitor or the world is ending is whimsical nonsense at best.

Apparently the republicans must not be able to find a republican to run against Nick Joe so they have to buy a Democrat to try and win.

And the Democrats name is "Evan" Jenkins

To those who know him, Jenkins is a very loyal and decisive person. This switch is not about money or power; it is about the Senators core convictions. He believes strongly, as do most West Virginians that the national Democratic Party has veered too far to the left and is no longer guided by the documents that founded this great nation.

As for calling Senator Jenkins a ‘traitor’ those are pretty harsh words, especially coming from a Congressman who has not exactly stood behind his constituents. Many in Southern WV know it’s time for Rahall to go; they’re just waiting for a viable candidate.

It seems to me that his principals are no longer alive in the Democratic party. JENKINS (not Evans) made the right choice.

Evans is the worst type of politician; will do or say anything just to get elected; absolutely no backbone in this guy. About like our fine Governor Earl Ray!
