“Let me briefly touch on the future. I want the Mountaineer program, and I expect us, to compete at the highest levels. Certainly the goal of our program is to win a national championship." Oliver Luck 12-16-2010 Instead of elevating the WVU athletic program with some of the most talented athletes to play in Motown ... Luck has major sports at WVU sliding into mediocrity or worse! The Mountaineer needs to load the musket with rock salt and sting some backsides while cleaning out the athletic department in Morgantown!

I'd be careful mentioning Kansas as the conference cellar dweller. While I hope the Mountaineers can do well enough this year to go to another bowl game (with future national aspirations in the years ahead), they have a lot of questions to be answered come training camp in too many positions as well as in the coaching ranks. If Kansas is the "conference cellar dweller," then the Mountaineers are on the stairs leaving only one question. In which direction are they heading?

If the only thing I worried about my team each year was going to a "Bowl game" each year, I'd quit watching. Headlines and end of article show how WVU fans tend to kind of have the attitude, "Well. we're just glad to be here." No great national aspirations, just send us to the Peach Bowl or something. By the way, how are those bowl appearances working out? Longest bowl game losing streak in history, if I do recall.
