I enthusiastically agree that everyone deserves a second chance and maybe even a third. The substance abuse problem is growing worse and too many have had multiple chances at rehabilitation.

Really Peter? Ended their lives? You don't think that's a little drastic or severe? Like, never ever give them a chance to change, get clean, turn it around? Or in your opinion, once somebody makes a mistake just kill them. Because you are perfect right? Addiction is a disease. Hopefully these two will get clean and make the life changes they obviously need to make. I've been there. Years worth of addiction that reeked havoc in my life and my family's life. But, my judgmental stone throwing friend, you would never ever know that today if you met me. Everybody deserves a second chance. I'm just thankful they were stupid enough to ride around in an illegal vehicle and they were stopped before they hurt somebody, or themselves.
