Gotta love them - no money for bleachers - certainly no money to fix leaky roofs - but hey lets give those guys sitting all day thinking big thoughts some more money to sit.

Better to pay the administrators than to waste the money on sports. I do agree, though, that any leaky roofs should immediately be fixed. There's no way that tax money should be used to subsidize sports in any fashion.

1. Look at your upcoming property tax statement.

2. Notice how much is earmarked for the schools.

3. Remind yourself of this pay increase for the so called "upper end" of the school system and the 100's of thousands of dollars for new football seats.

4. Be Angry. Very Angry

The Wood BOE is the problem in wood county! They need to give vouchers to students for school and let them and their parents choose where to get their education from. This would straighten out the Wood Boe almost immediately. So many of the students out of Wood County will go on in school and have to enroll in lower learning classes in college because they just got passed along in school because of "no child left behind" and on top of that there is nothing that can be done to the teaching professionals that are non-performers. But really, are we really gonna give $3 an hour pay raises to these people when recent graduates can hardly find a minimum wage job that will work them 40 hours a week. Our system is screwed right now, maybe Aaron S has the solution, he seems to know everything!

Shows bureaucratic arrogance at its best. WCBOE needs a good housecleaning ASAP. Remember this at election time.

Talking about taxes, why are people that do not own real estate allowed to vote on a levy? Real estate owners are the ones paying for it, am I missing something?
