and they wonder why employees leave for other jobs, especially police officers. inflation goes up every year, cost of living is increasing constantly but wages, especially for state, county and local employees have not. No pay raises, no longevity. so sad.

COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.... ATTENTION!!! Do you see what LONGEVITY PAY RAISES ARE?? "The longevity pay would have increased employee pay by 30 cents an hour each year of service." So sad.. the county said last year we are giving our employees a longevity pay increase.. wow they thought they really did something... NOT! They gave their employees 10 cents an hour period! Not for each of service, just a flat 10 cents! What an insult to those who had been there for years and years and years.. some 30+ yrs. And now this year they say they have no money for raises.. maybe they need to have the city council look at their budget. The 3 wise men are proving they are not so wise after all. Such a disappointment. City Employees... be thankful you are not working for the county!

Retired state employees have not received a cost of living increase since 1988. Think the cost of living has increased since 1988?
