Coal is not cheap, when you consider, mercury, rivers and streams clean-up, health effects, and carbon emissions that lead to intensified natural disasters. These things all have to be paid and accounted for. And it can never be clean.

Coal has had its day!!! Solar energy is the way of the future. President Obama, who by the way was elected both times by the eligible AMERICAN voters, has little if no say on how coal has been depleted as a source of energy. This depletion has been caused by unneccessary use of the natural resource to satisfy the greed of man.Politics CANNOT restore coal to its previous unabounded uses.

West Virginia's coal producing counties also have our state's highest poverty rates. The coal industry ignores federal safety regulations, kills dozens of workers annually, and pays off its multitude of lackeys in state government to circumvent environmental legislation. Yet West Virginians, the most short-sighted people in the nation, are unable to see how they have been duped.
