This is about the third time Ms. Gnage has tried to get the*****outta here . Must be unhappy here , she is not from here and I've heard (Possible Rumor Alert) she dosen't even live here, shows up when she has to, in this day and age you can use a pc or cellphone to work from home.I think she is a very nice lady , have nothing agains't her , however if and when she leaves , maybe the BOG should look for some local talent , that have roots here , want to live here etc. Just my humble opinion .BPOE 198 odd timing on your choice huh ?

Doesn't Gnage do this every time it's coming close to renew her contract? She's probably just trying to make the Board give her a raise as incentive to keep her here.

I don't blame her, I would want to work in a more progressive area too, nothing wrong with moving up...that's what administrators do. I wouldn't consider our area cutting edge when it comes to education by any means.

WVUP is a good place to pad your resume, leave a mess, and move on. Best of luck.

President Gnage has done an exemplary job for WVU-P, navigating it through the mess with WVU and growing the programs and physical facility. The only reason for anyone to bad-mouth her is that they are jealous of her abilities and the fact that she has worked hard and made herself a valuable professional in her industry.
I can only assume that the other commenters are unemployed, under-educated or both, and have no hope for any career advancement in the future. Unbelievable. I'd leave here for a career advancement in Florida in a nanosecond. Wouldn't you?

No, probably not, MrSmith. I like the area and have family here. As for being under-educated and/or unemployed that's a bit presumptuous isn't it? Isn't that the same thing as anonymous users bashing President Gnage online? We have no facts. You have no facts. Get over yourself. Personally I only posted to at least pose the question that isn't this a semi-normal thing for her? I'm fairly certain I heard about her going for other jobs around her contract renewal last time. It seems like a good tactic. "You know I'm looking for other jobs, you should give me more money to keep me around because I'm so good." Now I don't know if it's nearing that time again, but if it is, I'm just pointing something out to allow others to think about that.

I'm very displeased to see all this negative talk on here about Dr. Gnage! What if that Florida school sees this and decides not to hire her? Then she'll never leave!! Shhhh. MrSmith has the right idea ;)

LightsOut
Here's the truth - both of these losers are wanting to jump ship before the next accreditation evaluation is conducted in early 2014. There is NO DOUBT that the Higher Learning Commission (the accreditation agency) will find problems at WVUP and grant only limited accreditation with required corrective actions mandated. I work there, and I know what is going on.

Gnage has done a good job. It these people want to better themselves, that is the American way. Plus would you really want to work for a board of governors made up of political hacks?

Truthfully, I think Dr. Tracy probably runs the college in Dr, Gnage' frequent absence. She has to assume the "puppet" role or else risk losing her job. The college is most likely run by her, the staff and the instructors while the president flits around the country reinforcing her facade as a concerned and dedicated educator. I see good people there who do their best to help the community while the president travels about town and the country trying to convince onlookers that she's worthy of hire.
