@Frank99, city council is preparing to submit a grant request for funding to construct a bridge over the Pond Run Outfall to connect Point Park to the area behind the floodwall at 12th Street. When this bridge is constructed the trail will continue as you describe.

I don't know why they couldn't utilize the service road on the West side of the flood wall next to the river, from point Park to where the gates cross Grand Central Avenue near WV Avenue as part of the trail.
