Personal thanks to Mr. Richard Adams of United Bank. The MOV airport is a community asset. No new businesses, including a possible fracking plant, will locate here w/o an operating airport. Well done sir!

This airport will never turn a profit until it gets a carrier that flies to hubs people need to get to. Many times I check to see about flights to get out of Wood county only to learn that if I can get out of here, I can't get back without a lot of time and changeovers. It would be nice to have the convenience of leaving from here. Instead I usually go to Charleston or Columbus. I have run into surprising numbers of people from P-burg who are at these airports for the same reasons I am. Wise-up airport authority! Stop driving your business out of town.

I agree with Whistling Dixie . . . but the EAS (Essential Air Service) is a boondoggle. Wood and Washington County leaders need to market the airport as an FBO (Fixed Base of Operation) for a major carrier. The traveling public is driving to Charleston, Columbus, Pittsburgh or Akron-Canton.
