When are state retirees going to receive a cost of living increase?There has not been one since 1988.However,the cost of living is not the same as it was in 1988!!. Of course,retirees have no clout in the government,like refusing to work or walking of the job. In the eyes of the young whippersnappers who were elected to serve the needs of the people,retirees are "has beens" who really have no authority to effect changes except at the ballot box.
