Are these ambulance chasers trying to put Dupont out of business. On TV Ditzsler had a gleam in his eye with dollar signs rollling around in his head.

what a pair...Kennedy and Deitzler-is this suppose to impress us? I for one wouldnt want to be associated with either one of them. Guess it is good that Mr. Deitzler lost the election...it would be hard to promote economic development as our county commissioner while trying to kill our largest employer. Hit the road Harry and take Mr. Kennedy with you!

As a whole, and compared to the rest of the nation, West Virginia is a relatively impoverished state.

How does one not see an ounce of truth behind the statement: "They can have a few years of pollution-based prosperity and can make a few people in Delaware very, very rich but they are going to impoverish the people of West Virginia and make them sick."

I mean... that really is part of the history of this state. Others making money off its natural resources and the state never prospering as a whole.

DuPont has known since the '50's that they are poisoning us and all you can think about is money and the poor people who own DuPont! Those horrible lawyers and the "gleam in his eye" but nothing about the greed from DuPont? You know those poisoning us for money, and knew they were, no dollar signs rolling around in THEIR heads? Just admit that you want to pick and choose those who make money, make it by being a lawyer...bad, making it poisoning thousand purposefully....good.

Dirty Harry and his buddies are only getting 25.5 percent of the medical monitoring fund. 25.5 percent of 252 million dollars. That is approximately 60 million dollars. That is only from the medical monitoring fund. But since they were only allowed 25 percent of it, their fee for the individual lawsuits is 40 percent of each settlement plus expenses. Expenses that could include private airfare and use of a private car. And they determine how much their expenses are. This information is in the contracts that they handed out at the meeting.

Perkie - that is called the world of which we live in. Nothing new or unusual with those perks. Immoral? One could easily argue, yes.

I really do not care how much money Mr. Kennedy and Mr. Dietzler receive, the fact that everyone is missing is that Dupont released a hazardous material into a navigable waterway of the United States. Under the Clean Water Act this is illegal. Under this law Dupont has to make right with those they have harmed, no matter how small. Think of BP. I'm sorry that these guys employ folks in the Mid Ohio Valley, I would not want to work for a company that does not know how to conduct business properly and for those who work for Supont and new thsi was going on shame on you for putting the rest of West Virginia in harms way.

Excellent post Eld. They can make filters for factories that are 99.9% efficient but they don't put them in. Why? Because someone in Wilmngton would not have gotten a 2nd yacht. Yes the workers made good pay and benefits. They also get sick and pass that on to their children and grandchildren. People think in the short time - woo hoo - good pay. Not thinking about thier little grandchild who could be sickened by this poison.

Well, funfun and others are at it again, saying untruths about the "insidiously toxic Teflon chemical C8." Agreed, it is biopersistant, but "insidiously toxic?" Give me a break. It's obvious the science panel had to go a long way to even say there is a probability between C-8 exposure and the conditions they described They had to find something, of course. Funfun and his(?) cronies are just as bad as the scumbag bosom buddies Dietzler and Kennedy.

Treez2: while I may not use the language 'funfun' has written nor do I agree with all of his/her talking points, you act like no injustices whatsoever occurred.

And that is why I strongly disagree with you.

Dietzler and Kennedy should be focusing on the "Insidiously" toxic sludge that is being trucked from CES Central Environmental Service in Lubeck, WV to Washington County and dumped into the ground. Per Parkersburg News story on 1/20/13 "In Hydraulic Fracturing, a mixture of water, sand and chemicals is used to "fracture" shale. "The water that comes back up can be more than six times as salty as seawater". "the AP says the waste liquid can also contain heavy metals, natural radioactivity and some of the chemicals used". Ok, Mr. Dietzler and Mr. Kennedy, there is is your insidious sitution. Now, Go after it.

Kennedy's own children could have used some of his attention. And for years he poisened his own body with ******, etc.

Beware of rich spoiled Kennedys whose own lives are lessons of extremely bad behavior.
