These people need to home school the out of control kid.School is to learn and this kids disturbances and behavior keeps other kids from learning.Teachers are there to teach and should not have to put up with unruly out of control kids. When I went to school we had special schools for these types of kids.

It's about time parents notice what's happening in Wood County's school system-for many, many years now to children who have "different" learning needs. There are students who have IEPs that help them achieve "Scholastic Excellence",(known as the "Gifted Program",in Olden days). Many people are under the false impression that, an "IEP"-Individualized Education Plan-is only for children with special difficulty in learning. Many of these children that are "labeled" as "troublemakers","defiant",and "lacking skills to be in with the mainstream classroom" are actually a higher IQ than the other children and BELONG in the "gifted program".If they were given the attention by the school system that they SHOULD HAVE, instead of being ignored. They are frustrated because they are NOT being taught the way the DOCTORS, PSYCHOLOGISTS and PYCHIATRISTS say they should be treated. At times,ADHD is diagnosed/deal

If a quorum is not required for a board meeting to occur, what policies might be approved by a minority of board members? If members cannot be physically present at the meetings, then they should resign from the board.

There is always going to be problems when you have schools, teachers, parents, and students involved. No system is going to be perfect for every child. Each child is different. But for these parents to raise all this cain about a teacher and will not stop until she is removed is wrong. I have had trouble with teachers in the past and learned how to deal with it. Usually the problem was my child being disruptive and disrespectful in class. If parents would realize their little angel isn't perfect the schools today would be better off. I like dealing with it the old fashion way. Days worth of hard labor, loss of toys, and a nice meeting with being bent over the shoe box!!!

The informed and active parents know that his case is not unique. There are problems in our schools, but what can the BOE do even? Do you realize how hard (next to impossible) it is to get rid of a terrible union teacher/employee? I'm sure the BOE just wants this all to go away and not be bothered (you see, they don't want to have to make hard decisions, just get their check/benefits and be left alone).

Say what you will I am not sure this is about money or a lawyer would already be present. I do find the choice of the word fort odd being the kid is in ROTC looks like a stab at this child's ability to join the military later to me. But to be fair I am not much for the BOE. They seem to be like a lot of authoritarian sysrems and cover for their own no matter how wrong they are. Just my opinion. If this is about a payday then shame on those involved looking for it.

Just wasting the time of the BOE as well as their own. Go get a job and stop wasting taxpayers $ in trying to get a handout with a frivilous lawsuit! But unfortunatly thats the only way somecan get an income besides ssi and welfare.

And it would be nice to see the WVSP and CPD there to keep the malcontents a reminder to stay contented.
