| | Hypocrisy strikes againOctober 3, 2011 - Jim SmithHypocrisy never fails to amaze me. Take for example a local tea party activist who seemingly opposes any and all taxes, but then spends his own money and time to support passage of a levy in Wood County to increase taxes for the local airport, library and to finance the Veterans Museum, a private entity. I understand when either one is for taxes or against taxes, but what I don't understand is when the deciding factor seems to be "are the taxes something I approve of or touches me or are they something with which I have no person contact." If one is against taxes, one should not then turn around and support a tax, especially for a private enterprise, even if that enterprise is for a worthwhile purpose. It reminds me of the adage, "Do as I say, not as I do" ... and that's pure hypocrisy!
