Leno's back ... yawn!
March 1, 2010 - Jim Smith
Jay Leno returns to late-night TV tonight ... Wow! Ask me if I care?
After his ill-fated 10 p.m. weekday show that devastated prime-time television, Leno is returning to his "Tonight Show" slot just nine months after he gave it over to Conan O'Brien, who went by the wayside when Leno's prime-time misadventure bite the dust.
Once again it will be Leno vs. David Letterman for the late-night ratings, which for most of their 17 years at "war" Leno won.
The real question is will anyone care that Leno is back? For that matter, does anyone care Letterman is on?
Granted, I usually go to bed about halfway through the 11 p.m. news and only occasionally stay up late enough to see any part of Letterman's show, which slowly has turned into the same vicious, unfunny personality attacks as Leno has aired for years.
