Death Comes to the Village
December 9, 2013 - Amy Phelps
Mystery comes to a Regency England countryside in Catherine Lloyd's "Death Comes to the Village."
Major Robert Kurland is recouperating after a battle and believes he has seen shadowy figures outside his window. Childhood friend Lucy Harrington just wants to help him, whether it's because of her duty as the child of the rector, or because she has had a long-time crush one him. She promises to check up on his suspicions, but when not one, but two young women disappear in town, those suspicions are definitely raised. Did the girls run off with some man or go off to the big city of London? Or is something more sinister afoot? It's up to Lucy and Robert to discover the truth!
Mystery fans will enjoy the twists and turns in this sleepy English countryside, as well as the relationship between the two main characters.
"Death Comes to the Village" is published by Kensington. It is $15 and 282 pages long.
