Cartoon map is now online

A cartoon map featuring 130 area businesses is now part of newsandsentinel.com.

The map features caricature of area businesses laid out in a street pattern along a pair of rivers.

The whimsical map presents many businesses in a fun, lively manner. The News and Sentinel, for instance, is a giant paper box.

When a user hovers over the map they get additional information about the business. The name, address, phone number displays. On many, the web address and email for the business also displays.

The online map is part of a project that also created a printed version of the map. Copies of the printed map are for sale at The News and Sentinel office at 519 Juliana St.
